FOCUS POINT: Changes in Prioritization Depending on Influenza Pandemic Severity
Participants in this part of the dialogue will discuss the ways that the Draft Guidance proposes prioritization should be changed depending on different levels of severity of pandemic influenza. Participants should review the Draft Guidance document at this website, and in particular Table 2 (Vaccination Target Groups) of the Draft Guidance.
Key Reference Documents. Keep these handy - you'll need them to understand the discussion:
Facts and Assumptions about the Next Influenza Pandemic

Quick reference: Target groups, tiers for severe pandemic & public values on the goals

Desired outcomes:
Clear understanding of the various concerns that are raised by participants about the way that the implementation of the Draft Guidance would affect us all in the face of pandemic influenza.
Identification of priorities that have not been recognized in the Draft Guidance or of items that need different prioritization, so that public health authorities can consider modifying the Guidance.
Identification of perplexing issues about vaccine prioritization that the WebDialogue team can consider including in the opinion poll on Thursday morning.
